Sustainability is important to me, I do my best to demonstrate kaitiakitanga. All crocheted garments have been made of 100% pure wool with the dress and top being made from alicante stretch mesh with a blend of nylon and elastane. These garments have been made to a high quality ensuring they last long.
Although these garments are all not completely environmentally friendly they are socially sustainable. They have an impact on my target market through the well-being of females and what message is behind the collection. I recognise the relationship I want to have with my customers and the impact I want to have on them teaching them to have the choice to wear what they feel comfortable in while ignoring the idealisation of objectification. I think it’s healthy to talk about these topics behind women empowerment and if I can make just one girl feel confident through what she is wearing then I have accomplished what I am aiming for.

I decided not to toile any of my crochet garments so I was constantly fitting them to my body and on a form to ensure they were the right fit.
