I chose to photograph my own clothing for the photography elective which I then edited through Photoshop. I created a lookbook of the images using InDesign called Distortion. We have all become too invested in society's fashion image of perfection to be able to ignore the modern demand that we ‘create’ our own bodies. Distortion is about society's idea of beauty being messed up within this century. I wanted to portray an image of distortion through my work creating an edgy look which fits with my streetwear designs. I used studio lighting and photography to show a clear picture of what my garments look like and the detail of the paintings on them. I have used different and abnormal poses to exaggerate the idea of distortion showing an out of place perception.
