







For the year one elective I chose pop-up market where in a group with had to create a brand and products to sell at a market within the Polytechnic. Me and three other classmates created a brand called Close Strangers in which we sold clothing, jewellery, candles and tote bags. The meaning behind the name close strangers came from all of us meeting that year in class and instantly clicking as friends. Everything was designed and made by us and then marketed through instagram before then being sold in the market. The instagram allowed us to also update our customers on when the pop-up market was happening and all information about it. My part in this collective brand was designing and making the colour block hoodies. I made five in total all in different colours so they were each unique. As a class we also collectively organised the event for the pop-up market which included designing posters to promote it as well as the setup in the Polytechnic and spatial design.
